Computer Lab

The Computer Lab is used by all children from Grade 1 to 7. The Grade 1s start by learning how to use the mouse and to identify where the letters of the keyboard are. Children come once a week for an hour. We also do MAtific, each child has their own username and password; Matific gives the computer teacher a report at the end of the lesson with the progress made. Grade 4-7 also do Robotics and Coding. Robotics is when you set out instructions for your robot to follow. This allows the learner to think creatively and to approach issues from different angles. Learners move from basic simple level to more complex and difficult levels, depending on their own pace. They are also allowed to use the computers for research purposes as assigned from other subjects. The main programs they use are Word and PowerPoint (PPT).

Science Lab

At the heart of teaching science is the desire to inspire our learners to become scientists and researchers who seek to improve the quality of life for all human beings. We believe that a science that does not place humanity at its core is not valuable to sustaining our world. We seek therefore to develop our learners to:
• Identify and analyse information.
• Find solutions to various problems.
• Research and present their research findings effectively.
• Expose them to various scientific research aimed at enhancing our quality of life.
• Inspire them to explore the wonders of science, add to their knowledge of the world.
• Introduce entrepreneurial possibilities in the faculties of science.

Library

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” ― Dr. Seuss, I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!

The importance of reading cannot be over-emphasized in our school. Learners from Grade 1-3 receive readers from their teachers that they have to read daily. Grades 4-7 have the opportunity to visit the library weekly to check-out age appropriate books. Our library is rich with books from a variety of authors and genres.
